SYNOPSIS A good actor in the titular characteristic role of a woman who kicks off the currently complicated serious relationship of a secretive husband with two children in order to return home only for a while and escape again, pushed into the fateful unknown. Excellent Jana Plodková together with Anna Cónová. A negative, melancholic film of taking stock of the past, searching for roots and oneself. The relationship between the beautiful hairdresser and single mother Hedvika and her mother does not bring anything good to life.

SYNOPSIS II Hedvika (Jana Plodková) is a single mother of three-month-old Adélka, who is moving out of the apartment where she lives with her husband and two children. Paradoxically, she feels that she prefers her dog to her own offspring, and her relationship with her mother is not good either. After a period of inner confusion, she realizes that her main problem lies in the absence of maternal closeness. When one night she finds her late father’s parental diaries, where he recorded her daughter’s early childhood, Hedvika decides to use their loving content as therapy: she begins to read the diaries intensively, travel to the places described in them or visit relatives from the deceased father’s side. Hedvika slowly begins to change her relationship with herself and thus also with little Adélka. Absence of Proximity is an intimate psychological drama set in the west of the Czech Republic during one of the many earthquake swarms that are characteristic of this region.

Debutantský počin Jozefa Tuky uvádza herecky dobrý výkon v titulnej charakternej úlohe ženy, ktorá odkopne aktuálne komplikovaný vážny vzťah tajnostkárskeho ženáča s dvoma deťmi, aby sa vrátila domov len na skôr a zas unikla posunutá do osudového neznáma.

Vynikajúca Jana Plodková spolu s Annou Cónovou. Negatívny melancholický film s chladným analytickým, poetickým a vizuálne vyspelým pradivom – tak trochu ozrejmuje disidentský konflikt a problém donášačstva ako rodinnej a osobnej pomsty – za necitlivé manipulácie ženskej kariéry – doba bilancovania minulosti, hľadania koreňov i samých seba. Vzťah pohľadanej kaderníčky a slobodnej matky Hedvigy a jej matky, neprináša nič dobrého pre život.

Na debutantský počin zrelé vedenie a casting, vynikajúca výprava a exteriérová kamera na poli kinemy avšak tézovitý ideologicky propagandistický námet s melancholickou dezilúziou – kontrapunkt nepokojnej prírody, ale i zbytočná hra na bublinu a žiadna vôľa vidieť ženské a materské veci z optimistickej a súčasnej stránky.

Vyspelý režijný debut je i tak silný nadštandard pre náročného artového diváka a klubové kino.
