SYNOPSIS The full-length debut of the directorial duo Martin Darondeau and Bertrand Usclat is a mature act that is a satirical audience comedy from behind the scenes of the legendary Parisian theater institution Comédie-Française. Low budget bottle movie reflects three chaotic hours before the premiere of the new production of Shakespeare’s „Macbeth“.

The main character is Nina, director and actress from the Comédie-Française troupe, who makes her debut here. However, the premiere night quickly turns into a series of absurd and stressful situations. For example, actors have other jobs outside of Paris, technology fails, props disappear, and conflicts between ensemble members escalate through rivalry with their personalities, vitality, passions, fears, or absurd reactions.

The film has the form of a dynamic ensemble comedy. The creators expose facts and emotions with observations that behind the veneer of a historic building lies a specific world of artists full of improvisation, chaos, and human imperfection – yet only one rule applies: The show must go on!

Celovečerný debut režisérskeho dua Martin Darondeau a Bertrand Usclat je zrelý distribučný počin a satirická divácka komédia zo zákulisia legendárnej parížskej divadelnej inštitúcie Comédie-Française.

Nízkorozpočtové debutové „bottle movie“ s témou zákulisného a navyše pikantného finišovania pred premiérou debutujúcej režisérky, ktorá má bábätko, o ktoré sa nemá kto postarať, čo je asi tá najmenšia aktuálna starosť.

Film odráža tri chaotické hodiny pred premiérou novej inscenácie Shakespearovho „Macbetha“. Hlavnou postavou je Nina, režisérka a herečka zo súboru Comédie-Française, ktorá tu debutuje. Premiérový večer s návštevou ministerky kultúry sa však rýchlo zmení na sériu absurdných a stresujúcich situácií.

Napríklad herci majú iné zamestnania mimo Paríža, zlyháva technológia. Taktiež rekvizity a javisková technika má problémy. Niektoré konflikty medzi členmi súboru sa stupňujú. Rivalita ich osobností, vitalita, vášne a sex, strach, či niekoľko absurdných reakcií.
